Welcome on the site of Ommegang of Brussels Ommegang ("to go around" as old Flemish), is the oldest historical evoquation of Brussels. It goes up in XIVème sciècle and was, at the origin, a procession of reconnaisssance with Our- injury of Fine sand. It took all its glare when, June 2, 1549, the authorities of the town of Brussels made of it a festival in the honor of the visit of Charles Quint and his son Philippe II, the festival in which took part the corporations, the oaths, the notable ones, the nobility and clergy.
