Popular sports in Brussels

 Brussels is the capital of Belgium. It is the administrative heart of the European Union.  This city hosts many key institutions such as: the Western European Union and NATO. The dominant sports in Belgian society are the following: Cycling, basketball, volleyball, hockey, judo or Martial arts and Tennis.However, the most popular sports here are cycling and football which is more popularly known as soccer. Brussels hosts two of the highest league of Belgium football clubs which are the FC Brussels and RSC Anderlecht. They were named after one of Belgium’s finest beers. FC Brussels is a new club which was merged from two clubs in the city while the RSC Anderlecht is the biggest football club in history.

Constant Vanden Stock Stadium

Constant Vanden is a football stadium which is located in Anderlecht, Brussels and home of the famous R.S.C. Anderlecht. This stadium was inaugurated in 1918 and completely rebuilt in 1983. It was named after the president Constant Vanden Stock. It can already accommodate a capacity of 28,000 audiences, though board of directors are currently planning to move to a bigger stadium. This stadium hosts a Michelin Guide - Le Saint-Guidon, one of the eldest and best known European hotel and restaurant guide. It also hosts the official club fanshop.
